My 6D Eyebrow Microblading Experience ll Step by step process

August 09, 2019 8 Comments

One thing all beauty experts, beauty guru or beauty enthusiast agree on is that as you age, looking at your best is important and that is also having a great eyebrow makes a big difference. Women and even men nowadays have become obsessed with making their eyebrow on fleek.

Some who don't know how to do their makeup particularly on doing their brows is a hassle. Just like me, it took me a lot of time to draw or put eyebrow pencil in it. It becomes a tiresome task when you do it regularly. I have thick brows and at my young age, I did a lot of plucking and it has gotten worse. As in, some of the hair did not grow anymore and worst was that my eyebrows weren't even. My eyebrows were not perfect that's why I took the chance to experience the 6D Microblading Eyebrow at (@clairvisagebeauty) Clair Visage Face and Body.

Before I decided to go for 6D, I did research about it and watched some vloggers who did experience it. A lot of them were satisfied. I also asked my sister in Malaysia who did the procedure and told me that it was okay but it is up to me if I want to go for it.

What is 6D Microblading Eyebrow?
It has been a trend among people all over the world. It helps to reconstruct the brows, fill the gaps and cover the over plucked areas. It can also help make your thin eyebrow to the thicker line. The 6D Microblading is a semi-permanent eyebrow tattoo, a new procedure which is done with the help of blades. The result is more of looking natural just like your actual eyebrow hair.

So there I was, one Sunday afternoon, filling in the health questionnaire, a little bit nervous but at the same time excited about what will be the result.

Following steps are taken for fulfilling the procedure:

1. Taking photos of my before eyebrows look.

2. Cleaning the eyebrow area. They used alcohol and wipes.

3. Shaving the unwanted hair in the eyebrow area.

4. Measuring and creating a shape of the eyebrow using a string with ink.

5. Applying a cream that will help to numb the area after 30 minutes to lessen any discomfort while tattooing.

6. The procedure of microblade hair strokes will start that will last 1 hour if you have thick eyebrow that will just be filled in and 2-3 hours if you have thin brows.

7. After the procedure is successfully completed, the ink will be applied to the brows or they call it pigment.

8. After 15-30 minutes, they wiped the brows and applied a white cream, an aftercare cream.

9. They gave me an ointment to help in the healing process.

10. After one and a half month, a touch-up session will be done if the brows are not yet completely filled in.

Day 1
Dark. No pain, no redness but kind of itchy. My eyelid was a bit swollen.

Day 4
Just itchy and the color is no darker. It lightens a bit.

Aftercare

  • After 24 hours of the microblading procedure, wash face with any mild soap (example: Cetaphil, dove, baby soap)
  • After washing the face, pat it dry with facial tissue then apply ointment using clean cotton buds ( the application should be one-way direction only)
  • Repeat this 3x a day (morning, noon and night) for 7 days until it totally healed.

Restrictions ( 2 weeks to 1 month)

  • Excessive sweating
  • Oily and fishy foods
  • Swimming
  • Too much exposure to sunlight ( put on sunblock)
  • Supplements containing vitamin E
  • Taking collagen
  • Putting moisturizers, toner on the eyebrow area and anything alike
  • Harsh soap (example kojic soap)

Does Microblading hurt?
During the strokes, I only feel like scratches using a needle. I heard the scratches clearly because we were quiet and there's background music, very calming and soothing. After the brows were filled in, the pigment was applied and that's the time I felt prickly or sore. It seems like I plucked all my eyebrow hair. But the pain is tolerable. After an hour, it feels normal.

How much does Microblading cost?
The 6D Microblading cost 8,000 pesos here in the Philippines and it depends on the Artist you will go to and where you are. Some cost much higher like 20,000 to 80,000 pesos depending on what kind of brows you are going for and it also depends on skin type.

How long will it last?
Ma'am Tess Lasam, the artist said, it will last 18 months or more depending on how you care for it. If I am not oily, sweating, too much sun exposure or if I follow the restrictions, microblading will last maybe two to three years.

Is Microblading for you?
The artist said, their client usually come to avail the 6D because they don't have brows or some are tired of drawing and they are busy people. It is not recommended for a pregnant and nursing mom as well as people who have skin issues, allergies and prone to keloids.

Final Thoughts
There's nothing wrong with making your eyebrows into the next level. It's one way of pampering yourself and wanting to look more beautiful and confident in front of other people. Why not save time to look good and be on fleek 24/7?
I noticed that my brows look so dark after the microblading. It's pretty normal because of the pigment they applied but it will fade one to two weeks. Be patient. Don't set a date, meeting or party if you are conscious about your brows. It's also natural that some people will look at your brows when they see you. And yes, I am now used to it. They didn't ask yet they second look at me. I posted a new photo and they commented, "wow beautiful" and "kilay is life". That makes me smile.

This treatment is very convenient. No need to put on makeup if your busy, you're always on the go. If the time comes, it will fade, you already have the shape to fill in eyebrow makeup.

The experience I have with Clair Visage was wonderful. The clinic is clean and relaxing. The music is soothing. The staff is friendly and accommodating. I have never been to any clinic which offers like their rates but I think it was fair and can be afforded by financially well-off.

Update:
After two weeks, my brows were healed and done flaking. It lightens and the color is the same as my actual brows. Some area was not totally filled in but still looks so natural.

After one month, my brows were totally healed and I noticed that when I am in front of the camera, my brows were not even but in person, it was not noticeable. I still thank Clair Visage for the opportunity. I don't need to put on makeup because I feel fine with my brows.
