Happy New Year 2021! Let's all wish for a Covid free new year. The coronavirus pandemic not only damaged our health and sanity but also left quite a lasting impact on most of our lives. One that will continue to affect our lives even when this whole nightmare is over. We all have some really good memories and bad memories about the past year, but you never know what this new year is about to give you. It’s time to be hopeful, have new dreams and make some new resolutions for the new year in your life.

We all have something to change. It is our chance to start a new habit, live a healthier and happy life. So my New Year's Resolution is getting in shape that includes dieting, eating healthily, or working out. I am not overweight but I am not that disciplined when it comes to food. I eat whatever I want or whatever we have on our table. And that's not good. So I guess, we all need help just like what Noom has to offer.

Noom promotes their coaches — who are real people (though not registered dietitians) — who help you set achievable goals and keep you accountable. It is a health and wellness program that takes a behavioral approach to weight loss in order to “trick” your body into building healthier habits. It may help people lose weight by promoting low-calorie, nutrient-dense foods, and encouraging healthy lifestyle changes. If costs, accessibility, and a virtual style of health coaching sway your decision, Noom is worth a try. Noom helps you adopt healthy habits so you can lose weight and keep it off. It can personalized accountability for health and wellness.

When you join Noom you will be in contact with a personal coach to help guide you to your health goals. Noom’s app features a barcode scanner that helps you easily track food. You can also log exercises, your blood sugar, and blood pressure on the Noom app!

Lose weight for good is a big commitment because you have to make sure you are ready, you need to set realistic goals, enjoy healthy food, get active, and stay active. Most importantly, you need to change your point of view. It's a challenge that we need to do and take into consideration. This is not only about losing weight, it’s also to prevent and reduce the risk of other serious health risks.

Let's all keep in mind that resolutions will be accomplished when we start immediately and have a positive attitude and make the best of every situation you are presented with in life. You will find yourself happier and more content, even during the difficult times. Enjoying life with a healthy body and mind is a great goal to have for the new year.
